Brother

Yesterday at 12:02pm my husband's brother passed away. He was passionate about his surfing, keeping his neighborhood safe & his job as a Buffalo Fire Fighter. I will miss his talks about history & other facinating facts. He was a brilliant person. We are going to miss you Magilla.

Sunday night we had a horrible flood. We got five feet of water in our basement and lost everything. The up side is that well, we needed to clean the basement anyways but, made excuses not to, and now our basement is the cleanest it has been in 10 years. (even disinfected, too! LOL!) The down side is that now we have to replace everything because we did not have flood insurance and our homeowner's does not cover anything. So... back to the drawing board. My Mom always says that there is someone that's worse off than you if you are feeling bad about your life. I feel okay. For now. I hope to feel better soon. I'll wait and see. Today looks like it's going to be a really nice day! My Mom & I are going to a graduation party later in the city. I also found out that DH & I will be visiting some family in August, camping in October & then off to Cancun in December! I can hardly wait.

Not much really going on. I created a cute little sundress for my niece out of an old navy dress shirt that didn't fit me. It's got sherbet colored stripes & I added a cute tatted like lace trim to it. I just hope it fits. If not then, maybe I'll sell it on my etsy site, Bingo Pajamas!

Good morning to all! Memorial Day weekend brought on much sadness due to the death of my "step-mother-in-law" it was a very somber time. The up side was that friends & family all came out to pay their respects. It was nice to visit with everyone. It was like she planned it for the long weekend so everyone could get together. It's funny how life & death work together & in the end it's not so bad. Thank you for stopping by & have a great weekend.

A Sunny Day

Finally we have a sunny day!! I am so sorry for not writing more constistanly but, work is finally dying down to my slow time. I have been spending some free time with an old school friend.. She has been inspiring me in the most creative ways! I have been crocheting a lot, sewing & now, I'm trying my hands at felting. I went to the local Salvation Army and found this beautiful cream colored sweater, it felted so nice that I am going to make it into a littel cardigan for my niece.

I am really getting into reading blogs. My friend has one and I really enjoyed reading just her little blurbs of what she's been up to. Also, I find other interesting blogs. I've never blogged before but, I use to like to journal or write in a diary. I was never consistant but, looking back it explains a lot about me. So, for my first blog I will end on that note.
